Liann Kaye
Liann Kaye is a Chinese American filmmaker based in NYC. She has been the director of video for Global Citizen’s international music festivals, working with artists such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Coldplay, and Metallica. She’s also directed music videos for Carlos Valdes (The Flash), Darren Criss (Glee), Theo Katzman (Vulfpeck), Charlene Kaye (San Fermin), and more.
Her award-winning short "The Blessing" premiered at festivals across the country last year, winning "Best Comedy" at the New York Short Film Festival and also won a grant of 20K from the NYC Women's Fund last February to serialize the project. Since then, she completed the series and premiered on Youtube via a successful Tiktok campaign.
Her first feature screenplay, “Electable” was chosen for both the Athena Lab and the Blacklist x WIF feature film residency, where she was mentored by Sofia Alvarez (Too All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, 2018 & 2020) and Kiwi Smith (Legally Blonde) respectively.

Connie is an NYC based cinematographer. She is a member of the International Cinematographer Guild Local 600 and also works as a professional camera assistant on feature films in NYC. When she’s not making films you can find her at Crossfit, surfing, writing postcards, snowboarding, teaching her cousins art lessons or just watching a good movie at home.

Joyce Keokham
Joyce Keokham is an intersectional storyteller who writes and makes films. her art explores her experiences as a first gen hyphenated american as well as the larger theme of what it means to be an inhabitant of this planet. She has produced for Gucci, Reebok, New Balence, and more. She also directs, and was a recipient of the NYC Women’s Fund for her own webseries, “WYA WYD.”

Bethany Yeap
Bethany Yeap is a multi-media artist and filmmaker based in NYC. Her background in painting & graphic design informs her process in building worlds that can stand alone as their own characters. Her own work is rooted in her experience as a first-gen Malaysian American and ultimately aims to tell stories through the more expansive lens of sci-fi.

As former frontwoman of the critically acclaimed indie rock band San Fermin, Charlene Kaye has played network television, major festivals like Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and sold-out shows. Her music videos, directed by The Blessing’s creator and sister, Liann Kaye, have been featured on Rolling Stone, AV Club, NPR, and Billboard. As the rock star older sister in fiction as well as real life, it couldn’t be more fitting to have her score the series.

Kevin Birou grew up in metro Detroit and studied filmmaking at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. He currently works in both Los Angeles and New York City as a film editor. From 2015 - 2020, he worked primarily with Steven Spielberg as part of his editorial team. In addition, he has edited multiple award-winning features, television shows, short films, documentaries and promotional material.
